The founder of Palmali Group Mubariz Mansimov was detained in Turkey while authorities searched his homes and company offices as part of an investigation into an outlawed political organization, several Turkish media reported.
A spokesperson at Palmali, a company listed with a fleet of nearly 70 small tankers and general cargoships, did not respond to an e-mailed request for comment and was not available to talk by phone.
