A broad swath of shipping shares scratched back some of the losses from the past week as the broader stock market notched its biggest-ever single day gain, just a day after absorbing the biggest losses in 33 years.
Shipping equities logged gains across operating sectors as the Dow Jones Industrial Average soared nearly 2,000 points on the heels of Thursday’s 2300-point loss, the worst day of trading since 1987.
