Oman Shipping Co (OSC) appears to have made another move to bolster its presence in the ultramax bulker sector by buying two ships from Scorpio Bulkers and Tufton Oceanic.
The Muscat-based company was widely reported this week to have paid Scorpio Bulkers $18.5m for the 63,000-dwt bulker SBI Taurus (built 2015).
Brokers also said the company bought the 63,000-dwt bulker TR Omaha (built 2014) is said to have been acquired from Tufton Oceanic for $17.5m.
