Greek and Turkish shipyards in the Eastern Mediterranean have seen demand for shiprepair and dry-docking services soar as coronavirus has forced competitors in China to shutdown.
ONEX Syros Shipyards, which is based on the Aegean island of Syros and was formerly named Neorion Shipyards, said it has received more than 120 dry-docking requests since the crisis broke out — far exceeding its capacity.
