The Baltic Exchange has told TradeWinds it is initiating a review of the Baltic Capesize Index (BCI), which made history by falling into negative territory last Friday.
On Wednesday, the index was assessed at minus 183 points, which is 50 points lower than a day previously and its lowest level of all time.
But now that the index has spent several consecutive trading days at sub-zero levels, the question is: is this something we need to care about?
