Yang Ming Marine Transport has declared general average on a chartered containership that ran aground near Istanbul last December.
It has appointed adjuster Richards Hogg Lindley (RHL) to oversee the general process following the incident involving the 2,000-teu Songa Iridium (built 2008).
The ship was heading to the Port of Istanbul just after Christmas when it suffered an engine room fire, lost power and subsequently ran aground.
