UK accident investigators have identified potential problems with parametric rolling of boxships after a CMA CGM vessel lost containers en route to the US last year.
The UK-flagged, 14,414-teu CMA CGM G Washington (built 2017) unexpectedly rolled 20 degrees to starboard, paused for several seconds and then rolled 20 degrees to port while on passage from China on 20 January last year, the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) said.
