Cyprus-based Prosafe has clinched a floatel charter with Statoil worth between $51m and $53m.
The company said its 450-bed semi-submersible accommodation vessel Safe Zephyrus (built 2016) will work on phase one of the Johan Sverdrup hook-up and commissioning project in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
Statoil has three choices for the deal: a 12-month firm period starting either in the second or third quarter of 2018, or five-months firm from the second quarter of 2018 plus six months of options and four months firm in the second quarter of 2019, plus four months of options.
