The demolition market for large bulkers appears to have returned to life, with a number of deals concluded in the last few weeks.
Demolition brokers, however, said they do not see the increased demolition activity as a reflection of the poor freight market. Nor do they believe it is a consequence of the newly introduced IMO restrictions on sulphur emissions.
