Energy major Shell has boosted the number of LNG carrier newbuildings it is taking on charter to eight with the addition of two vessels controlled by J P Morgan Asset Management.
The energy giant confirmed TradeWinds' report from earlier today that Shell Tankers (Singapore) has signed time-charter contracts for four LNG carriers with affiliates of Norway's Knutsen LNG plus two LNG carriers with Korea Line Corp.
