Tensions around the Middle East Gulf remain high, with more world powers taking steps to send military to the region.
Japan and South Korea are reportedly moving forward with plans, the latter alongside the US and UK, to have a military presence in the Strait of Hormuz, while France is lobbying Germany to join its outfit in the region.
As of Tuesday, both parties in Japan's coalition government, Komeito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Liberal Democratic Party, had approved the dispatch of a helicopter carrier and patrol plane, according to The Mainichi.
