Theodore Angelopoulos’ Metrostar Management has signed up for two new aframax tankers as it rebuilds its fleet.
The Greek company is said to have booked the 115,000-dwt crude tanker newbuildings at DSME-managed Daehan Shipbuilding, with delivery at the end of 2018. A DSME executive declines to comment, citing confidentiality.
Shipbuilding players say DSME has been actively marketing slots at Daehan as the yard is running low on orders.
