The secretary-general of the IMO has called for "concrete action" and accelerated efforts to address climate change.
Kitack Lim told delegates the industry is "now at a crossroads", while opening the organisation's 31st assembly session on Wednesday.
"In the next biennium, IMO will need to deliver tangible and concrete action – to ensure our strategies, plans and roadmaps are achieved," he said.
