Greek tanker owner Sun Enterprises has fixed a suezmax tanker on time charter to Chevron as it strengthens its ties with oil majors.
European tanker brokers said the S Livanos-backed company has chartered its 150,000-dwt Achilleas (built 2010) to the energy company for a year at $34,200 per day. TradeWinds is told the tanker does not have scrubbers.
The rate is somewhat lower than expected.
