A meeting of the world’s largest shipbuilders has led to a call for excess shipbuilding capacity to be cut back, although the joint statement is short of answers on how it might be achieved.
Shipbuilders from Japan, Europe, China, South Korea and the US – a grouping known as JECKU — met in the Italian resort town of Viareggio last week for their annual meeting.
