Greek and Japanese owners are among the candidates tipped to have bought a K Line VLCC.
Brokers reported the 302,000-dwt Nagaragawa (built 2010) sold for $48m.
Companies including Chandris, Hellenic Tankers, Aeolos Management, Zodiac, Capital Ship Management and the Stealth group were said to have inspected the vessel, which is currently underway in the Persian Gulf.
