Norway's Ostensjo Rederi will order new offshore vessels should it succeed in winning US wind farm business.
The company has agreed a cooperation deal with US operator Foss Maritime to target renewables markets across the Atlantic.
CEO Kenneth Walland told TradeWinds: "We have teamed up with Foss in order to be in a position to offer for the various offshore wind projects that may be in the pipeline in US.
