Floating regasification specialist Excelerate Energy is pushing to secure the first of its next-generation of floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) newbuildings from the clutch of optional slots it is holding as the projects for its vessels continue to mushroom.
Company president and chief executive Rob Bryngelson says Excelerate is “actively working” to firm up its first option at DSME, where it pencilled in a string of seven berths earlier this year.
