CMA CGM has today launched the world's largest LNG-powered containership.
The 23,112-teu CMA CGM Jacques Saade has been floated out at the Shanghai Jiangnan-Changxing Shipyard.
The vessel, named after the late founder of CMA CGM, is the first of nine LNG-powered ultra large containerships being built for the French liner group.
The vessel, which has a length overall of 400m and a beam of 61m, is built around a tank that will contain the 18,600 cubic metres (m3) of LNG.
