DHT Holdings is projecting a spike in VLCCs leaving the market in coming months to have scrubbers fitted and is waiting on a rising rates before locking in time charter coverage.
Svein Moxnes Harfjeld, co-chief executive of the shipowner, said around 140 VLCCs are set to be fitted with scrubbers, of which today only around 20 have the kit onboard.
