Charterers have swooped on a mix of LNG carrier tonnage to lock in vessels on period business for one year and beyond.
Brokers said energy major Total has started to move on its requirement for LNG ships by fixing a newbuilding and a trading vessel.
It is reported to have taken TMS Cardiff Gas’ only remaining unfixed LNG carrier newbuilding on charter for a period of three years plus.
