Iran expects the seized VLCC Grace 1 to be released "soon."
The country has started legal and diplomatic efforts to free the 301,000-dwt tanker (built 1997) that was held in in the UK territory of Gibraltar earlier this month.
The state-run Tasnim news agency cited parliamentary national security committee chief Mojtaba Zolnour as saying the UK “can’t prolong the tanker’s seizure and it will be released soon.”
