After nearly two days and thousands of miles, the US Coast Guard called off its search for an overboard Carnival Corp crewmember.
The agency said Sunday afternoon that it was unable to locate the worker, who fell off the 2,758-berth Carnival Victory (built 2000) 30 miles northwest of Cuba Thursday.
The Coast Guard said the search covered 2,600 square nautical miles over 45 hours and involved two cutters, a plane and help from the Cuban border patrol.
