The scale and length of any escalation in tensions between the US and Iran in the Middle East Gulf (MEG) will determine the likely impact on tanker markets, a top shipbroker has predicted.
“Wars that create disruptions in Middle Eastern oil flows have in the past tended to turbocharge tanker demand,” said Anoop Singh, regional head — tanker research (East of Suez) at Braemar ACM.
