Trafigura is homing in on a pair of VLGC newbuildings that would be fuelled with LPG as the market prospects for large gas carriers strengthens.
Industry sources indicated that the trader is close to concluding an order for the vessels but said a contract with shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries has yet to be signed.
Trafigura declined to comment when asked about the order.
