South Korea’s STX Offshore & Shipbuilding is among Asian yards hoping to win orders for MR tankers following its recent deal with Pacific Carriers for two 35,000-dwt product carriers.
The Chinhae-based yard, which is working its way out of administration, has told brokers it is once again ready to start contracting ships in volume as it recovers from financial difficulties.
