The Egyptian navy has taken control of a detained UAE-owned suezmax and was reported to be taking it into the port of Ain Sukhna.
Crew on the 163,000-dwt Sea Shark (built 1991), which has been held by Egypt for six months, said it was underway on Tuesday from an anchorage in the Red Sea.
"Vessel is conned by Egyptian navy forces and Egyptian pilot who boarded the vessel," the crew said in email.
