Golar LNG plans to use its spare capacity in its new Brazil-based floating storage and regasification unit to supply small parcels to buyers in the country wanting to switch to LNG for power generation or truck loading.
Speaking on the company’s first-quarter results call, chief executive Iain Ross explained that the company plans to use the 200 MMBtu of spare capacity in its FSRU Golar Nanook, which recently arrived to commission the Sergipe Power Plant.
