Korea Line Corp has reportedly sold a capesize vessel for scrap at a time South Korean owners are play a leading role in selling large bulkers for demolition.
Market sources said the Seoul-based shipowner has sold the 149,000-dwt Bluebell (built 1996) as is in South Korea for $432 per ldt or $7.7m.
The ship, which is due for special survey in October 2021, has been in the Korea Line fleet since it was new.
