Croatian owner Uljanik Plovidba is being investigated over alleged improper gains from a shipbuilding contract.
The tanker and bulker player said it had been notified by authorities of the probe "due to the alleged misconduct of the former managing director."
The investigation relates to a project to build four vessels at unrelated shipbuilder Uljanik Group's 3 Maj yard in 2009.
