Dorian LPG chief executive John Hadjipateras has called on more women to join the shipping industry at all levels of employment.
While accepting the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA)’s 2019 Commodore Award last week, Hadjipateras pointed out that the chief executives of four of the five largest US defence contractors are women — and he feels shipping can follow suit.
"I think it can happen in shipping," he said on Thursday night while accepting the Connecticut Maritime Association's 2019 Commodore Award.
