Shipbroking giant Clarksons has struck a deal to take over US brokerage Safe Harbour Tanker Chartering.
Jim Weinberg, who heads Connecticut-based Safe Harbour, and his team will join the Clarksons Platou Specialised Products division.
Clarksons called the transaction a key step in the development of its specialised product arm and an important milestone on what will be a growth path for the business.
