Tallink Grupp has its sights on being more environmentally friendly with plans to add a second ship to its fleet that can run off of both LNG and marine fuel oil.
The Paavo Nogene-led ferry operator in the Baltic Sea has ordered a new LNG-powered fast ferry for its new Tallinn-Helsinki route from the Rauma shipyard in Finland.
Delivery of the 50,000-gt, 2,800-passenger ship is expected January 2022 at a cost of about EUR 250m ($281.3m).
