CMA CGM has confirmed an order for 10 new boxships to renew a small part of its mammoth fleet two years from now.
The French boxship giant, with 509 ships, signed today for the newbuilding agreement with the China State Shipbuilding Corp.
Half of the 15,000-teu newbuildings will be fuelled by LNG, while the other five will be fitted with hybrid scrubbers, for sailing on the Asia-Mediterranean lines.
