An LNG carrier that has been sitting in lay-up in Indonesia for 10 years has been sold for scrap.
Brokers said the 129,300-cbm Sunrise (ex-Transgas and Edouard LD, built 1977) was sold "as is" at Batam for 26,634 per ldt, equating to around $10.2m.
Local sources familiar with the vessel said it had fallen into disrepair and was seen listing.
