Maersk Tankers has made its move on scrubbers ahead of the IMO 2020 low-sulphur fuel deadline.
The Danish shipowner said on Friday it had decided to invest in four exhaust gas cleaning systems for selected LR2 vessels.
They will be fitted on one existing tanker and three newbuildings.
