LNG supply-demand patterns over the next few years will increase the tonne-mile picture for cargoes and shipping, according to independent energy research company Rystad Energy.
Carlos Torres Diaz, who is head of gas market research at Rystad Energy, told TradeWinds that this will be driven by an increasing LNG supply from the US coupled with the demand pull from Asia
“We are seeing US volumes that will need to find a buyer in Asia rather than within the Atlantic Basin,” he said.
