John Angelicoussis’ Maran Gas Maritime has plumped for new propulsion and hull design choices for the company's latest two LNG newbuildings in what could be the Greek shipowner’s last LNG carrier order at his favoured shipyard, DSME.
TradeWinds understands that Maran Gas’ two 174,000-cbm LNG newbuildings, which were confirmed early this week by DSME, have been ordered with XDF low-pressure gas-injection propulsion units and a new optimised hull form.
