An unnamed French owner has contracted two new tankers at China's Taizhou Kouan yard.
Brokers said the 9,150-dwt chemical and product carriers are due in November 2020 and February 2021.
No price has been given for the order.
The yard currently has 25 ships on its books.
This includes two tankers for Stenersen of Norway, with the rest mostly bulkers for names like Schulte, Pacific Carriers and Tomini Shipping.
