Norway's Shearwater GeoServices has clinched survey contracts from Aker BP and Equinor for the summer season.
The company said the four ocean-bottom seismic (OBS) surveys will involve the 3,800-dwt WG Tasman and WG Cook (both built 2010), owned by WesternGeco.
“We are excited to be chosen by two major petroleum exploration and production companies to execute these surveys and leverage our proprietary OBS acquisition system, state-of-the-art vessels and experienced crews,” said Irene Waage Basili, Shearwater chief executive.
