Glencore's ST Shipping has reportedly chartered-in a pair of LR1 tankers from Sophocles Zoullas' Zenith Shipping Group.
Brokers said the commodities trader's shipping arm fixed the 72,000-dwt product tanker Telluride and Augusta (both built 2003) for three years at $17,500 per day.
The deal includes options that could extend the charter for up to two more years.
