TMS Cardiff Gas’ 16-ship fleet is now dominated by its recent haul of newbuildings but this is the company’s second trip to the shipyards.
Christos Economou founded the outfit in 2011 with the acquisition of a secondhand ship — the 147,172-cbm Fuji LNG (built 2004).
The company enjoyed the post-Fukushima disaster rate ride, initially fixing the Fuji LNG for $120,000 per day on a four-year deal.
