China's Jiangnan Shipyard and Gasfin Development have cut steel on a 28,000-cbm LNG floating regasification unit (FRU) that is being constructed to serve a $350m LNG import project under construction in Ghana.
The FRU, which is identified as Hull No 2621, is being built to work in combination with an existing LNG carrier that will serve as floating storage unit to serve the LNG terminal being developed by Tema LNG Terminal Co (TLTC) and Helios Investment Partners in Tema Port, Ghana.
