A grounded K Line capesize has been refloated off the US on a rising tide.
A US Coast Guard (USCG) ship and helicopter crews assisted the 26 crew of the 176,000-dwt coal JSW Salem (built 2012) off Virginia Beach on Thursday morning.
It had left Baltimore and was heading for Chesapeake Bay with 120,000 tonnes of coal when it ran aground, the USCG said, according to the Work Boat website.
