At least one man is reported to be dead after a Vietnamese-owned chemical tanker suffered an explosion and fire off Hong Kong’s Lamma Island.
The incident aboard the 17,542-dwt Aulac Fortune (built 2010) occurred at around 11:30 am local time, according to the Hong Kong police.
Reports say 21 other people who had either fallen or jumped into the sea to escape the blaze, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
