Kuala Lumpur-based MISC has sold its oldest LNG carrier for recycling in Bangladesh.
Although details of the deal only came to light this week following the arrival of the 130,000-cbm Tenaga Lima (built 1981) in Chittagong, the sale appears to have been lined up back in October.
The IHS ships register indicates that ownership of the Tenaga Lima was transferred to a St Kitts and Nevis-registered entity called Maximus Shipping in October, at which time it was reflagged from Malaysia to the Comoros and its name shortened to Lima.
