Navig8 Chemical Tankers has agreed a sale and leaseback deal with China’s AVIC International Leasing for two 37,000-dwt product tankers.
The Nicolas Busch-led shipowner said net proceeds from the transaction involving the two Interline coated vessels was $52.4m.
A portion of the proceeds was utilized to repay existing loans used to finance the vessels’ newbuilding contracts under a multi-bank loan facility, Navig8 said.
