Two parties have submitted offers for a floating storage and regasification unit to serve Sudan’s first LNG import facility on the Red Sea.
TradeWinds understands that SunaGas, the state-run energy company, has received offers from Qatar Petroleum, and from trader Trafigura working in partnership with Dreifa Energy.
Company officials handling the business did not reply to requests for comment.
SunaGas officially floated its tender for an FSRU in June, requesting offers in the following month.
