Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) could leave the 2M alliance run by Maersk and MSC, according to sources cited by domestic media.
It has been tipped to move on when its contract expires in April 2020.
Industry analysts were reported as saying it could ditch its associate status and join the rival Ocean Alliance.
