Austal has finally put pen to paper on a newbuilding contract from Trinidad and Tobago for a 94 metre high-speed ro-pax ferry.
It has been contracted by government-owned National Infrastructure Development Company (NIDCO) at a cost of AUD 97.7m ($71.8m).
NIDCO intends to finance the vessel through an export loan from Australia’s Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC).
